Dutch film magazine Schokkend Nieuws and Offscreen organize a two-day festival in Amsterdam and Brussels, with the support of the "BesteBuren" project. The festival will be entirely dedicated to the often-neglected genre cinema in Flanders and The Netherlands

The festival wants to offer more visibility for the talents emerging from the Dutch and Flemish underground, working in genre cinema on a professional or semi-professional basis. The goal is to encourage the genre film production - by organizing master classes, workshops and a short film competition. Film makers and audience have the opportunity to meet in an informal context, thus stimulating the interaction between Dutch and Flemish genre film lovers.
