Let the sunshine in and let your hair hang down! The matinee screening for all ages offers a nostalgic trip back in time, with ice cream, cartoons and a memorable ode to the hippie spirit of the sixties as its feature film.
“Hair” is a film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical from 1968. Country boy Claude (John Savage) wants to enlist and join the war in Vietnam. But when he arrives in New York, he encounters a group of hippies and discovers freedom, drugs and his first love. Its anti-war statement and denounciation of conservatism and conformity turned the film into a much-loved cult classic.
