Linda Blair is back as Regan in a sequel unjustly dismissed by some Exorcist fans as the worst film ever made. It's a metaphysical vision of good versus evil, with a Morricone score, hallucinatory production design and brilliant locust footage. Wildly ambitious and offbeat, this deserves reassessment on its own terms.
