Grindhouse cinema is dead... or is it? Although most of its exhibition venues disappeared long ago and the 'true' grindhouse films are no longer produced, these six talks and an industry panel discussion will examine the continued importance of the grindhouse and exploitation in contemporary cinematic culture. All talks will be in English.

While the grindhouses of 42nd Street may have disappeared - the films live on, distributed to fans all over the world on video, DVD and VOD. Thanks to labels like Something Weird, Mondo Macabro or Vinegar Syndrome, exploitation fans can now watch the films in the comfort of their homes.
