Lecture by Alex Cox
“10.000 Ways to Die: a director’s take on the Spaghetti Western”
A lecture by Alex Cox (in English)
An organisation by the Vlaamse Dienst voor Filmcultuur (VDFC) and the Offscreen Film Festival
When Alex Cox saw his first Italian western double bill at the age of thirteen, he was immediately taken away by it. More then 40 years later he has himself become a maverick filmmaker but still remained an aficionado of the spaghetti western genre up until the point of writing a book about it: “10,000 Ways To Die: A Director’s Take on The Spaghetti Western”. For one hour, he will share his passion for Italian gunslingers, harmonica music and ghost towns with us.
The lecture is followed by the screening of Straight to Hell & Walker
